On 14 September 2006, Virotec International plc (the "Company") received the
following advices in relation to notifiable interests in shares of the Company.

1.   UBS AG (Switzerland) advised that as at the close of business on 12
     September 2006 it had an interest in 10,682,510 ordinary shares in the 
     Company representing 4.45% of the issued capital.

2.   UBS AG (Switzerland) advised that as at the close of business on 13
     September 2006 it no longer had a notifiable interest in the Company.
