                             UPDATE - I 99 Project


The Directors of Virotec International Ltd (Virotec) (AIM: VTI) advise that,
based on current indications from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, it
is unlikely that they will award Virotec any significant contracts in the short
term. Virotec's Executive Chairman Mr Brian Sheeran states "We are obviously
disappointed as the independently verified results achieved to date clearly
demonstrate the success and suitability of our treatment".
