                      UPDATE - I-99 Project, Pennsylvania

The Directors of Virotec International Ltd ("Virotec")(AIM:VTI) provide the
following update to shareholders relating to its Pilot Test at the Interstate 99
project located at Skytop Mountain, Pennsylvania, USA.

A report prepared by MWH Americas, Inc ("MWH") detailing the background, conduct
and results of the pilot trial has been received by Virotec and been sent to the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation ("PennDOT"). Virotec is pleased that
the independently verified results again show the effectiveness of the BauxsolTM
Technology and is satisfied that they justify our confidence in the ability of
BauxsolTM Technology to offer a viable solution to the Acid Rock Drainage
problems at Interstate 99.

MWH's report will remain confidential until PennDOT have had adequate time to
consider its practical implications. Once this occurs, Virotec will release to
the market the key conclusions arrived at by MWH, and will make the full report
available on its website. Virotec looks forward to participating in a full
detailed discussion of the substance of the MWH report once it is publicly
available.
