Holdings in Company

Universe, which develops and supplies leading payment and on-line loyalty systems, has today been notified of the following purchases of ordinary shares in the Company on 17 August 2012:

-- Amati VCT plc acquired 13,391,086 ordinary shares representing 7.14% of the Company's issued share capital; and

-- Amati VCT 2 plc acquired 12,495,970 ordinary shares representing 6.66% of the Company's issued share capital.

As a consequence of the above, Amati Global Investors, which manages Amati VCT plc and Amati VCT 2 plc, is now interested in an aggregate of 25,887,056 ordinary shares representing 13.8% of the Company's issued share capital.
