Appointment of Australian Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer

The Directors of Thor Mining PLC ("Thor" or the "Company") (AIM, ASX: THR) the exploration company focussed on gold and base metal projects and advancing tungsten-molybdenum projects in the Northern Territory of Australia, are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Allan Burchard as Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of Thor.

Mr Burchard replaces Mr Laurie Ackroyd who will be resigning in the near future to devote his full attention to the business of Western Desert Resources Limited.

Commenting on the departure of Mr Ackroyd, Mick Billing, Executive Chairman said: "Laurie has provided tremendous service during a challenging period for the Company and we wish him well for the future".

Mr Burchard is a chartered accountant with 40 years accounting experience including 20 years as an audit partner in international accounting and advisory firm, KPMG, in Australia and Kazakhstan where his experience included clients involved in the mining and oil industries.

More recently, he has been providing accounting and advisory services to a range of privately owned companies, not for profit organisations and government departments in South Australia
