                                 AGM STATEMENT



At the Annual General Meeting held in London today all of the resolutions, as
set out in the Notice of Meeting dated 10 May 2004, were approved by
shareholders and Chairman Robert Breare made the following statement:



"Since our preliminary results, the development of Ted Baker as a global
designer brand has continued as planned.  We have opened a store in San
Francisco and an innovative "Endurance" store in Covent Garden and we are
delighted with the initial reaction to both stores.



Trading since the year-end is in line with our expectations.  The results for
the full year will, as always, be dependent on trading in the second half of the
financial year.  The Board remains confident of a successful outcome for the
year."
