                                 AGM STATEMENT


At the Annual General Meeting held in London today all of the resolutions, as
set out in the Notice of Meeting dated 10 May 2006, were approved by
shareholders and Chairman Robert Breare made the following statement:

"Since our preliminary results, we have opened our second largest US store in
Southern California's premier luxury shopping destination, Orange County's South
Coast Plaza.  We are delighted with the initial reaction from customers.

Trading across the Group since the year-end is in line with our expectations and
as anticipated, we have seen an impovement in wholesale sales since our
preliminary statement, although market conditions remain challenging.  While the
results for the full year will, as always, be dependent on trading in the second
half of the financial year, the Board remains confident of a successful outcome
for the year."
