Talvivaara Mining Company Ltd ("the Company"), was notified on 12th December
2007 that, on 12th December 2007, Saila Miettinen-Lahde, Chief Financial
Officer, sold 84,750 ordinary shares in the Company, at a price of 300p each and
Jyrso Oy, a company in which Jari Lahde, her husband, holds a 70% interest, sold
35,000 ordinary shares in the Company, at a price of 300p each.

Following this transaction, Saila Miettinen-Lahde holds a total beneficial
interest in the Company of 918,640 ordinary shares, representing 0.4% of the
total voting rights attached to the issued ordinary share capital of the
Company.
