Sportsworld Media Group plc ("Sportsworld" or "the Company")

Sportsworld is pleased to announce that, at the extraordinary general meeting
of the Company held earlier today, shareholders unanimously passed the
resolution put to them. 

It is expected that the shares to be issued in connection with the acquisition
of the 49 per cent. of the issued share capital of SSM Freesports Limited not
already owned by Sportsworld will be admitted to the Official List of the
United Kingdom Listing Authority and to trading on the main market of the
London Stock Exchange on 22 May 2000.
