Sportsworld Media Group plc ("Sportsworld" or "the Company")

Result of EGM

At the extraordinary general meeting of the Company held earlier today the
special resolution put to shareholders in relation to the recommended offer
for Sports and Outdoor International Media plc (the "Offer") and the placing
and the open offer (the "Open Offer") announced on 6 March 2000 was
unanimously passed by shareholders.

The Offer and the Open Offer therefore remain subject to the terms and
conditions (other than the acceptance condition and the resolution condition
which have been fulfilled) set out in the Offer Document. 

A further announcement will be made in due course regarding the outstanding
conditions.
