SPG Media Group plc confirmed yesterday that Steve Nicholson, its former Chief
Executive, left its employment on amicable terms and thanks him for his
contribution to the business.  Mr Nicholson confirmed he wishes the Board and
all employees' future success.

It has been brought to the attention of SPG Media Group plc, that the
announcement it made on 7th July 2006 regarding Mr Nicholson being placed on
gardening leave may have been understood to imply misconduct on his part.  It
was not the intention of SPG Media Group plc, nor is it the case that Mr
Nicholson engaged in any kind of misconduct while at SPG.

SPG unreservedly apologies to Mr Nicholson for any misunderstanding and any
embarrassment its announcement may have caused.
