The  Directors  of  Rubicon  Group  plc  announce  that  they  have  received
notification from Applied Power Inc. pursuant to Sections 198 and 202 of  the
Companies Act 1985 (the "Act").

The  number  of  shares in which Applied Power Inc. and  its  subsidiary  APW
Enclosure Systems Limited are interested in for the purposes of the  Act  had
increased  from 6,342,467 Rubicon Ordinary shares, representing approximately
7.2  per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of Rubicon Group plc,  to
23,167,963 Rubicon ordinary shares, representing approximately 26.3 per cent.
of the issued share capital of Rubicon Group plc.
