Notification of Substantial Shareholding

We hereby advise you pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, as
amended by Section 134 of the Companies Act 1989, that due to a purchase of
122,000 Ordinary shares on 16 August 2006, North Atlantic Value LLP as a
discretionary manager for its clients is currently interested in 1,163,900
Ordinary Shares of 1p each in Avanti Screenmedia Group PLC. This includes a
holding of 315,457 ordinary shares in which Oryx International Growth Fund
Limited is interested ("Oryx). Oryx is listed on the London Stock Exchange and
North Atlantic Value LLP is its discretionary investment manager.

Our records indicate that, based on an issued share capital of 22,344,000
Ordinary Shares of 5p each, this figure amounts to 5.21% of the issued share
capital of Avanti Screenmedia PLC.
