    Purchase of own securities

    Octopus IHT AIM VCT plc announces that on 31 October 2008 the Company purchased 100,000 'B' Ordinary shares at a price of 58p per share.
 The 'B' Ordinary shares purchased represent 0.4% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.

    These shares will be held in Treasury.

    Following this transaction, the issued share capital of the Company consists of 7,299,461 'A' Ordinary shares and 17,680,850 'B' shares
with a nominal value of 0.01p each, with voting rights.  The Company now holds 15,250 'A' Ordinary shares and 100,000 'B' Ordinary shares in
Treasury.
