OEM plc has been pursuing claims against third parties consequent upon the
discovery of fraudulent misappropriation of its monies by its deceased director
Brian Schneider.  There have already been substantial settlements with third
parties. There have been ongoing proceedings against further parties.  This has
resulted in a further payment in cash of �2,300,000 (made without admission of
liability) which the board of directors, after taking leading Counsel's advice,
consider to be an appropriate settlement.
