Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation ("NTT") hereby announces that, at a meeting of its board of directors held today, NTT has authorized the relocation of its headquarters as described below.

   3.           Reason for the Relocation

The building in which NTT's headquarters is currently located (Teishin Building) will be rebuilt as part of the Otemachi 2-Chome Area Redevelopment Project.

   4.           Future Impact on Consolidated Results

This relocation will not have a material impact on NTT's consolidated results of operations.

   5.           Other

No amendment to NTT's Articles of Association is required as the new headquarters will be located within the same ward (Chiyoda-ku) as its current headquarters.
