Metalrax Group PLC ("Metalrax" or "the Group") 
 
 
Disposal of B.S.C. Diecasting ("BSC") 
 
 
Metalrax, the niche supplier of specialist engineering and consumer durable 
products, is pleased to announce the sale on 30 April 2009 of its BSC business 
for a maximum cash consideration of approximately GBP0.5 million, which is 
payable over the period ending 31 July 2009. 
 
 
BSC is involved in zinc and aluminium pressure diecasting. 
 
 
In the year ending 31 December 2008, based on unaudited numbers, BSC made an 
operating loss of approximately GBP140,000 on turnover of approximately GBP5.3 
million. As at 31 December 2008, the net assets being sold had a book value of 
approximately GBP1.0 million. BSC's trading has deteriorated further in 2009. 
 
 
The directors intend to use the proceeds of the sale to reduce debt and to 
support the Group's strategy of becoming a specialist engineering company 
operating in growth market sectors. 
 
 
Andrew Richardson, Chief Executive of Metalrax, commented: 
"The disposal of the BSC business is a further demonstration of commitment to 
reorganising the Group's existing operations as part of our long term growth
