ENCOURAGING FINAL DRILL RESULTS EXPECTED TO
UPGRADE RESOURCES
Leyshon Resources Limited (AIM & ASX: LRL) is pleased to announce encouraging
final drill results from a major drill programme completed at the Zheng Guang
gold zinc project in Heilongjiang northeast China, which are expected to lead to
an upgraded resource estimate.
The 43,700 metre diamond and reverse circulation programme, completed ahead of
schedule in October 2007, focused mainly on infill drilling the Main Ore Zone. A
number of exploration targets were also tested and the proposed tailings dam
area has been sterilised ahead of mine development.
The Main Ore Zone
The Main Ore Zone infill programme has reported some very encouraging results
from key sections, which show that the mineralisation exhibits good continuity
both between sections and down dip.
The results are consistent with those previously reported from adjacent holes
and collectively provide confidence that the revised resource estimate, due out
in February 2008, will upgrade much of the 1.21 million ounces gold, 3.72
million ounces silver and 94,000 tonnes zinc resource from Inferred to Measured
and Indicated status.
Some of the better results are provided in Table 1 below. They include the very
encouraging near surface intersection in diamond drill holes ZGD177, 20 metres
at 8 g/t Au from 1 metre below surface and ZGD227, 10 metres at 2.6 g/t Au from
surface, together with a number of holes reporting broad mining widths at good
grades, all of which are within the current open pit design.

The Main Ore Zone has been extended by more than 100 metres to the north with
intersections reported from the adjacent sections 49500N and 49550N. The best of
the results from these sections are shown below in Table 2:

As previously reported, mineralisation has been discovered with shallow reverse
circulation drilling on six out of seven of the geochemical anomalies tested
across the licence area. These potential new deposits were followed up with a
small number of diamond drill holes designed primarily to test for vein
orientation ahead of a larger programme in 2008.
Zheng Guang - North & South Deposits
The Zheng Guang North deposit, which was discovered in 2006, and is located 750
metres to the north of the Main Ore Zone is continuing to show good potential to
be an additional source of near surface mill feed. Diamond drill hole ZGD195
reported three ten metre intersections with the best being 17metres at 2.6 g/t
Au from 95 metres.
Encouraging results were also reported from Zheng Guang South and other targets
and these will be followed up in this year's programme.
The 2008 exploration programme on the Zheng Guang licence is scheduled to
commence in May 2008 and will target extensions in the Main Ore Zone and follow
up the recent discoveries across the licence area.
As previously reported a regional generative programme is being prepared for
2008 which will test the highly mineralized, but underexplored gold and base
metal belt on the recently acquired 83 km2 additional exploration licence areas.
Managing Director Paul Atherley commented: "These results provide us with
continued confidence that the revised resource estimate, which is expected to be
released shortly, will upgrade much of the resource to Measured and Indicated
status allowing mine design to be finalised immediately ahead of project
development."

Background Information
Leyshon is fully engaged in China with its main operating office in Beijing its
Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer all based in China. Over
80% of employees are either native Chinese or Mandarin speaking.
The company is rapidly progressing the Zheng Guang gold zinc project to
production status and is aiming to jointly develop it as the first ever Sino
Foreign owned mine in the mineral rich province of Heilongjiang in 2008.
The project benefits from exceptional infrastructure as it is located within a
well established coal and copper mining community with rail, power, water and
mining contractor services immediately available.
Hellman and Schofield Pty Ltd of Australia has reported a JORC compliant
resource estimate of 1.21 million ounces of gold, 3.72 million ounces of silver
and 94,000 tonnes of zinc. Full details of the resource estimate are included in
an AIM/ASX release dated 19 March 2007.
The discovery cost to date has been less than US$5 per ounce reflecting the lack
of modern exploration in a major gold belt which has produced over 20 million
ounces from mainly surface and alluvial methods.
Leyshon's partner, the Qiqiha'er Brigade of the Heilongjiang Bureau of Geology
and Mineral Resources, one of the largest organizations of its kind in China, is
providing a range of services to the joint venture from its complement of 4,000
technical staff, drill rigs, laboratory and other technical facilities. This
valuable support is enabling the project to rapidly move ahead on an extremely
cost-effective basis.
Competent Persons Statement
The information in this report relating to Exploration Results, Mineral
Resources or Ore Reserves is based on information compiled by Richard Seville, a
director of the Company, who is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining
and Metallurgy.
Mr Seville has sufficient experience which is relevant to the style of
mineralisation and type of deposit under consideration and to the activity which
he is undertaking to qualify as a Competent Person as defined in the 2004
Edition of the 'Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral
Resources and Ore Reserves'. Mr Seville consents to the inclusion in the report
of the matters based on his information in the form and context in which it
appears.

Notes on presentation of exploration results:
* Drill intersections > 2m and greater than 0.6g/t gold equivalence for
diamond or RC sulphide intercepts or greater than 0.5 g/t gold for oxide
intercepts or if silver and zinc assays have not yet been received.
* RC holes based on > 2m intersections and > 0.3 g/t as used previously for
oxide ore
* No cutting of high values
* Gold analyses are aqua regia digest which has been shown to understate
gold grade compared to fire assay by approximately 10%
