                           LEYSHON RESOURCES LIMITED

                     NEW CHAIRMAN AND DIRECTOR APPOINTMENTS

Leyshon Resources Limited ("Leyshon" or "the Company") (ASX and AIM: LRL) today
reports that it has appointed Mr John Fletcher CBE as Non-Executive Chairman of
the Company, Mr Robert Bigland as Non-Executive Director and Ms Stacey Apostolou
as an Executive Director and Company Secretary. Mr Fletcher and Mr Bigland are
based in Hong Kong and London respectively and their appointments are consistent
with the Company's strategy of seeking to gain exposure to the broader London
capital market which is increasingly supportive of resource projects in China
and East Asia and to reflect the orientation of the Company to London and China.

Mr Fletcher served as an Executive and main Board Director of the Trafalgar
Group ("Trafalgar") for more than 20 years, which at the time was one of the
UK's largest industrial groups. Following the acquisition of Trafalgar by
Kvaerner ASA ("Kvaerner"), he became Chairman and President of Kvaerner's
engineering and construction worldwide operations.

In 1996, he was awarded the title of CBE (Commander of the British Empire) for
his contribution to British industry. He was a member of the international
advisory team to the Beijing Mayor in 1998 and is currently Executive Vice
Chairman of the Construction Supervision Committee for the National Stadium for
the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

Mr Fletcher is based in Hong Kong and is a significant shareholder in Somerley
Group Limited ("Somerley"), a corporate advisory firm which has been operating
for more than 20 years. Somerley advises both Chinese and international groups
from its Hong Kong and Beijing offices on access to capital via the Hong Kong
Stock Exchange and via foreign direct investment. Mr Fletcher continues to
maintain his well-established industry, government and financial connections in
London.

Mr Bigland has worked in the City of London for over 40 years. He joined
Laurentian Investment Management Ltd in 1983 and six years later he established
the firm's independence by leading a highly successful management buyout which
created Ely Fund Managers ("Ely"). Dexia Private Banking ("Dexia") acquired Ely
in 2001 and in January 2006 Rathbone Brothers Plc reached agreement with Dexia
to acquire the former business of Ely.

During his long and successful career in investment and funds management Mr
Bigland has established important relationships in many aspects of the City's
financial sector.

Ms Apostolou has been employed as the Company's Manager - Corporate since August
2005. She has previously acted as Finance Director to an ASX/AIM listed company,
has held company secretarial roles for publicly listed companies within the
mining and exploration industry and has over 17 years relevant industry
experience. Ms Apostolou has been responsible for the corporate, treasury,
finance, accounting and administration functions for these companies.

Following these appointments, Mr Ian Middlemas has resigned as a Director of the
Company and Mr Mark Pearce has resigned as Director and Company Secretary. Their
contribution to Leyshon over the years is noted and very much appreciated. Mr
Middlemas remains a substantial shareholder with an interest of approximately
18% of the Company.

Further details for each of the new Directors as required to be disclosed under
paragraph f of Schedule Two of the AIM Rules will be provided to the LSE
shortly.
