The Annual General Meeting of London Finance & Investment Group P.L.C.
("Lonfin") was held today. At that meeting, the Chairman of Lonfin (which
owns 40.48% of the Company) announced that the net asset value per share of
the Company's shares, as at the close of business on 28 September 2000, was
34.73p, an increase of 17.37% since the Company's year end, 30 June 2000.
