                     ACQUISITION OF RIDDAR CAPITAL LIMITED


The Directors of Libertas Capital Group plc ("Libertas Capital") are pleased to
announce the acquisition of Riddar Capital Limited ("Riddar") for a
consideration of approximately #1.9m by the issue of 6,789,484 of new Libertas
Capital ordinary shares of 1 pence credited as fully paid.

Riddar was formed in July 2004 and has not yet commenced trading. The current
net asset value of Riddar is approximately #1.3m in cash.

The Directors of Libertas Capital intend to establish Riddar as a specialist
independent investment research company. Furthermore, the Directors of Libertas
Capital believe that the acquisition of Riddar, together with its net assets,
will provide Libertas Capital with further capital to enhance the expansion of
the different Libertas Capital business areas.

Application for the admission of the 6,789,484 new Libertas Capital ordinary
shares for trading on AIM has been submitted and dealings are expected to
commence on 4 April 2005.

Following the completion of the acquisition of Riddar, RAB Special Situations LP
will hold 4,649,123 shares, representing 11.2% of the enlarged issue of share
capital of Libertas Capital.
