Jupiter Second Split Trust PLC (`the Company') received notification from Mr D
Thoy, a director of the Company, that he and his wife,  purchased 22,786 Geared
Growth shares at 0.655p on 31st October 2007 for their regular investment plan.
Following this purchase Mr & Mrs Thoy hold a total of 71,783 Geared Growth
shares in the Company, representing 0.04% of the total voting rights in the
Company.

There are 94,905,683 Geared Growth shares and 94,905,683 Zero Dividend
Preference shares in issue.  On a poll each Geared Growth share carries one vote
and each Zero Dividend Preference share carries one vote.  The Pckaged Units
consist of one Geared Growth share and one Zero Dividend Preference share.
