Jupiter Second Split Trust PLC (`the Company') received notification from Mr
Harry Hill, a director of the Company, that he has purchased 10,350 Geared
Growth shares today at 0.65p as part of a regular investment plan.  In addition
Mr Hill purchased 79,500 Geared Growth shares at 63p on 12th October 2007.
Following these purchases Mr Hill holds a total of 513,863 Geared Growth shares
and 11,749 Zero Dividend shares representing 0.28% of the total voting rights in
the Company.

There are 94,905,683 Geared Growth shares and 94,905,683 Zero Dividend
Preference shares in issue.  On a poll each Geared Income share carries one vote
and each Zero Dividend Preference share carries one vote.  The Packaged Units
consist of one Geared Income share and one Zero Dividend Preference share.
