Trading Update

The Board of John Lewis of Hungerford plc (AIM:JLH) provides the following update on current trading.

The aggregate of despatched sales for quarter three and our forward order book stands at GBP6.3 million, broadly static with the comparable period last year. Forward order book represents committed orders for which deposits have been taken. We consider that this remains the best measure of current trading although our revenue recognition policy continues to be to recognise sales at the point orders are despatched. The results are derived from our existing showroom estate including the new showrooms in Chiswick and Cobham.
