ID Data Group plc (AIM: IDD), the smart card and card solutions group, today 
announces that, further to the announcement released on 24 December 2008, it has 
completed the sale of the intellectual property, equipment and business of its 
Irish smart card management software subsidiary CardBASE Technologies Ltd 
("CardBASE") for EUR2.25 million in cash to Sagem Securite, a subsidiary of the 
SAFRAN Group of France. 
 
 
The sale of the business and assets of CardBASE will assist the group in meeting 
its financial obligations (including the non-group liabilities of CardBASE 
itself which it is estimated were approximately EUR0.65 million at completion). 
CardBASE made a loss before tax of EUR47,000 on turnover of EUR0.5 million in the 
year ended 31 March 2008 and the total book value of its fixed assets at that 
date was EUR44,000. 
 
 
Trading in the Company's shares on AIM remains suspended.
