  ID Data gains new contract win expected to be worth �3m over three years for
                          chip bank cards and services

ID Data Group plc (AIM: IDD), the smart card and card solutions group, today
announces that it has won a significant contract to supply bank and co-branded
cards to one of the world's leading financial services companies.

The contract encompasses the manufacture, personalisation and fulfilment of
smart bank cards for the UK market and the annual spend is expected to exceed
�1million.

The initial three year contract is expected to lead to further business as ID
Data proves its skills and capabilities to the client. These include the
Company's leading touch and go payment technology along side its traditional
technology which is used for chip and pin transactions.
