                           TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES


New Star RBC Hedge 250 Index Exchange Traded Securities PCC Limited (the "
Company") announces that on 14 December 2007 it purchased the number of shares
at the prices set out below; the resulting share capital per class is also set
out in the table below

Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
