RE: NORTH PERTH BASIN WEEKLY DRILLING UPDATE
Hardman Resources Ltd ("Hardman") provides the final weekly progress report on
the drilling of the Jingemia-3 sidetrack in the North Perth Basin:
Well Location: The Jingemia Oil Field is located within onshore exploration permit EP 413, to
the north of the Woodada Gas Field and is approximately 300 kilometres north
of Perth, Western Australia.
Progress: During the week, production casing was run and cemented at a total well depth
of 2,510 metres. Jingemia-3 has been completed as a water injection well for
(Previous 7 days to the field. A workover rig will be mobilized within 7 days to perforate the
well and conduct initial clean up flows.
06:00 hours 2/10/03)
Note: The main objection for the Jingemia-2/3 well was to provide a water
injector well for the field and this has been achieved.
Note: All reported depths are referenced to the rig drill floor.
Geology & Hydrocarbon Shows: Jingemia-3 intersected the primary objective Dongara Sandstone at a measured
depth of 2,533.5 metres (2411mTVDSS), 31 metres low to Jingemia-1 and 30
metres high to Jingemia-2. Analysis of the Dongara Sandstone reservoir in the
well has confirmed it to be in pressure communication with Jingemia-1. The
oil water contact in the well is estimated to be 2,414 metres subsea. This
compares to an assumed oil water contact for the field of approximately 2,411
metres subsea prior to the drilling of Jingemia-2 and -3, indicating that
there may be 3 metres of addition oil column in the field. Reservoir quality
is interpreted to be suitable for water injection and the well will now be
completed to provide pressure support for the Jingemia-1 oil producing well.
Subject to regulatory approvals, a second Extended Production Test (EPT) is
anticipated to commence in mid-October. This follows the first EPT where oil
flow rates of between 1,000 and 1,900 barrels per day were recorded over a 3
month test period. During that EPT, the Jingemia-1 well produced in excess of
125,000 barrels of oil, with no water.
