HANDMADE FILMS AND IMPACT PICTURES FORM PARTNERSHIP FOR CONTEMPORARY REMAKE OF
                              THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY

HandMade Plc (HMF.L), the rights ownership, film production, merchandising and
licensing company, is pleased to announce that it has formed a partnership with
Impact Pictures to produce a contemporary remake of the classic 1980 British
gangland crime thriller, The Long Good Friday.

Paul W.S. Anderson (Alien vs Predator, Resident Evil, Event Horizon) will write
and direct the $50m production. Co-producers will be Patrick Meehan for HandMade
Films and Jeremy Bolt for Impact Pictures. Casting will take place in the US
during 2007, with production due to begin in Miami in the summer of 2008 shortly
after Paul has completed Death Race for Universal Pictures. The deal was
negotiated by Patrick Meehan and Michael Ryan for HandMade Films.

Commenting on the announcement, HandMade's Chairman, Patrick Meehan, said: "The
original was a highly praised classic and one of HandMade's most prized films,
but its reach was limited primarily to the UK. Following continued interest from
the US, we realised this remake could attract audiences worldwide with an
updated setting and contemporary overtones. When Paul presented his creative
vision for this project, we were instantly convinced that this is a story that
could be successfully refreshed, yet leave the integrity of the original
intact."

Adding to this, film director, Paul W.S. Anderson, said: "The Long Good Friday
was an astonishing view of 1980's gangland that shocked audiences with its urban
crime and violence. I am delighted to have the opportunity to put a new spin on
this classic film which promises to reveal today's gritty underworld in an
equally shocking fashion."

Jeremy Bolt, from Impact Picture, said: "Both HandMade and Impact are British
companies, so we are confident that through our partnership we can produce a US
remake that does justice to the essence of the British original. Paul and I have
worked together on many movies, and the combination of his visceral style and
vision along with the creative talent of the HandMade team will create an
exciting and dramatic movie for audiences in the US and around the world."

HandMade Films International is launching worldwide sales at Cannes.
Discussions have already started for US distribution.
