                     GBP300,000 RAISED VIA PLACING OF SHARES

Central China Goldfields plc announces that it has raised GBP265,500 in a placing 
for working capital through Alexander David Securities Limited and Hanson 
Westhouse Limited plus a further GBP34,500 from Directors and employees of the 
Company. 
 
In total, the placing is for 24,000,000 new ordinary shares placed at 1.25 
pence per share (the "Placing Shares"). 
 
Application will be made for the Placing Shares to be admitted to AIM and it is 
expected that trading will commence on 27 March 2009. Following this placing, 
the total number of shares in issue will be 183,367,191. 
 
Following the above transactions, the following Directors' shareholdings in GGG 
will be:
