Central China Goldfields plc ("the Company") has been notified by City Equities
Limited ('City Equities'), that on 25 April 2006 City Equities (acting as
principal) purchased 2,500,000 Ordinary Shares of the Company (representing
3.64% of the share capital). Subsequently City Equities have sold all of these
shares to certain of their private customers. City Equities, as at the close of
trading on 26 April 2006, has ceased to have a beneficial interest in the
shares of Central China Goldfields plc.

The Company has also been notified by Frank Lucas that he has sold 3,000,000
ordinary shares of Central China Goldfields plc. He is now a holder of
1,424,098 ordinary shares which represents 2.07% of the share capital of the
Company on the basis that the company has 68,645,656 ordinary shares in issue
(including 10,090,975 shares to be admitted to trading on AIM on 3 May 2006).

Loeb Aron & Company Ltd. a company in which Frank Lucas is interested, holds
768,500 shares in Central China Goldfields plc representing 1.12% of the share
capital.
