                            Shareholder Notification

London, 15 June 2005 - Central China Goldfields plc ("the Company") has been
notified that the following changes in substantial shareholdings have taken
place.

Green Dragon Nominees Pty Limited, a company controlled by Mr Paul R. Loudon,
has reduced its holding from 3,179,676 fully paid ordinary shares ("shares") to
1,429,676 shares. This holding represents 2.74% of the shares of the Company and
is no longer a notifiable substantial interest.

Dr Frank Lucas has acquired 1,750,000 shares, increasing his holding to
3,900,000 shares, representing 7.46 % of the shares.
