                             Director Shareholding

Central China Goldfields plc (the "Company") has been notified of the purchase
on 13 April 2005 by Jeff Malaihollo of 30,000 ordinary shares at 6.125p per
share. In addition Dr Malaihollo purchased 38,402 ordinary shares at 8p per
share and 19,201 warrants. Following these puchases the interests of Dr
Malaihollo (which include 175,866 shares held by his wife) amount to 780,866
ordinary shares representing 1.49% of the issued share capital and 275,919
warrants.
