    CALGARY, June 28 /CNW/ - First Calgary Petroleums Ltd. (the "Company")
was advised yesterday that Mr. Charles Pitman, Chairman of the Board of
Directors and a non-executive director of the Company, bought 10,000 common
shares for his family partnership account at an average price of $5.03 (Cdn.)
per share on June 27, 2007 through the facilities of the Toronto Stock
Exchange. Mr. Pitman now holds 10,000 common shares.

    First Calgary Petroleums Ltd. is an oil and gas exploration company
actively engaged in international exploration and development activities in
Algeria. The Company's common shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange in
Canada (FCP) and on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in the UK
