    CALGARY, April 18 /CNW/ - First Calgary Petroleums Ltd. ("FCP" or the

"Company") announces that it has closed the previously announced common share

issuance of 19,340,000 shares at a price of CDN $9.00 per share, resulting in

gross proceeds of approximately CDN $174 million (9,900,178 common shares at

pnds stlg 4.40 per share and 9,439,822 common shares at CDN $9.00 per share).

Canaccord Capital Corporation, in conjunction with its affiliate, Canaccord

Adams Limited, acted as underwriter for this offering.

 

    First Calgary Petroleums Ltd. is an oil and gas exploration company
