AGM Statement


The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of eq group plc (eq) took place at 11.30 am
today, 30 April 2004.

eq is a marketing services group with expertise in market research,
below-the-line marketing and support services for the marketing industry.

At the AGM Chairman, Phillip Bennett, gave the following statement:

"The strong organic growth seen in the last financial year has continued into
the current year. Unaudited results for the first quarter of 2004 are well ahead
of the corresponding period in 2003 and the pipeline for the second quarter
looks positive. The group has continued to grow its client base and has secured
a number of significant client wins.

Our acquisition pipeline remains positive and we are encouraged by the quality
of businesses that we are pursuing. We will continue to grow the group both
organically and by acquisition with particular emphasis on businesses that can
improve marketing effectiveness and provide a greater return on market spend."
