MANILA--Philippine conglomerate DMCI Holdings Inc. (DMC.PH)
Thursday said it has acquired, along with D&A Income Ltd., an
additional 34.2% stake in nickel producer ENK PLC (ENK.LN).
The two companies have bought 89.5 million shares, representing
34.2% of ENK's issued share capital, DMCI said in a filing to the
stock exchange, without providing financial details.
The purchase is in addition to 15.5 million shares, or 5.9% of
ENK, acquired by DMCI in the market, it said.
This brings the two company's total stake in ENK to 60.7%, it
said.
Prior to the latest acquisition, DMCI and D&Q Income already
owned 53.9 million shares, representing 20.6% of ENK.
