DragonWave Strengthens Leadership Team in Europe, Middle East and Africa Region

Clive Belfort appointed Vice President, EMEA

OTTAWA, CANADA--(Marketwire - Sept. 17, 2007) - DragonWave Inc. (TSX:DWI) (AIM:DWI) leading supplier
of next-generation wireless networks, today announced that it has taken steps to strengthen its
leadership team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa through the appointment of Clive Belfort as Vice
President, EMEA.

Mr. Belfort joins DragonWave with a wealth of industry knowledge and brings over twenty years of
wireless industry experience.  Prior to DragonWave, Mr. Belfort served as Vice President of EMEA for
Ceragon Networks.  Mr. Belfort also has previous experience with Stratex Networks, now part of Harris
Stratex and Digital Microwave Corporation, based in the UK, where he also held several senior sales
management positions.

Mr. Belfort holds a Bachelor's of science in engineering from Birmingham University and will be based
in the United Kingdom.
