Issue of Equity 
 
The  Directors  of  Downing  Structured  Opportunities  VCT 1 plc are pleased to 
announce  an allotment on  23 March 2010 of 4,216,376 B  shares of 0.1p each ("B 
Shares")  payable at  99.9p per share  and 4,216,376 C  shares of  0.1p each ("C 
Shares")  payable at 0.1p per share pursuant to the Offers for Subscription that 
opened on 15 October 2009. 
 
Application for the B Shares and C Shares to be admitted to the Official List of 
the  UK Listing Authority and  to trading on the  London Stock Exchange's market 
for listed securities will be made at the earliest practical opportunity. 
 
B Shares issued to members of Management included within the above allotment, is
