NEW CONTRACTS AWARDED

Dean Corporation Plc ("Dean"), the environmental and property services group,
is pleased to announce that its subsidiaries have been highly successful in
recent months and have been awarded more than #8m worth of new contracts from
their Blue Chip client base.  These  new orders include:

H Page, Environmental Services, has won over #3.75m of business from clients
including the Broadcasting House arm of the BBC, C & A at Marble Arch in
London, and London Underground.  In most cases, the mechanical, electrical and
plumbing work is centred around new air conditioning and piped services
systems to buildings.

Cameron McKenna, a leading City law firm are expanding their offices and the
mechanical services package to be provided by H Page consists of the upgrading
and refurbishment of air conditioning throughout the seven floors of the
building.  This brings the total amount of new work for H Page to over #8
million since February 1998.

The special contracts division to Dean, JC Tripp and Sons has gained in excess
of #2.5m worth of orders including the #2.1m refurbishment of the Boarding
House at exclusive Dulwich College, London.

Contracts worth almost #2m have been won by Speymill Contracts Limited, Dean's
building and refurbishment subsidiary, from Allied Domecq, Bass, Greene King,
Pizza Hut and other leisure and hospitality groups.
