APPOINTMENT OF NEW GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dean Corporation Plc, the fully listed environmental and property services
group, announces the appointment of David Anderson, FCA as  Group Managing
Director with immediate effect.

Mr Anderson joined Dean Corporation Plc as Executive Chairman of H Page
Engineering Services Ltd in February 1996 and is now Chief Executive of the
Dean Environmental and Property Services Division.

Between 1983 and 1992, he was finance director of The Melville Group PLC, a
publicly quoted company.  He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1971 and
was a Partner in Grant Thornton up to 1983.
