United Technologies Corporation (UTX) and Clipper Windpower PLC (CWP.LN) said Wednesday that the partial cash offer has been oversubscribed and, as at 1700 GMT on Jan. 12, United Technologies, or UTC, had received valid tenders in respect of 47.08 million Clipper shares.

MAIN FACTS:

-The number of shares which are acquired from each accepting shareholder will be scaled back pro rata with reference to the total number of shares tendered.

-As a result of rounding any fractions, UTC will acquire 21.8 million Clipper shares under the partial cash offer.
