    Clipper Windpower Plc ("Clipper") announces today the appointment of Michael Keane as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President
effective 2 September 2008.   

    Mr Keane is a seasoned finance professional with substantial functional and executive leadership experience within the manufacturing,
technology, and information technology (IT) services sectors. He has served as CFO of a number of publicly-listed companies over the prior
12 years, including Western Atlas Inc., Unova, Inc., and Computer Sciences Corporation, a US$16.5 billion global IT services company.  His
prior experience also includes positions with Litton Industries and Price Waterhouse.  Mr Keane holds a BS in Accounting from Illinois State
University, an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, and is a Certified Public Accountant.    

    Mr Keane will replace Charles Williams, Clipper's Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance, who has accepted a CFO role with
another firm. Mr Williams will step down from Clipper's Board of Directors with immediate effect, however, he will remain with the Company
for an interim period to assure an orderly transition.  

    James GP Dehlsen, Clipper's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said: "Since joining Clipper in 2006, Charlie Williams has played a
very important role in the commercial launch and manufacturing of the Company's Liberty turbine, a period of substantial activity, challenge
and growth for the Company. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Charlie for his contributions and wish him every success in the
future."   

    Mr Dehlsen further commented, "We are delighted that Michael Keane is joining the Clipper team. Michael's proven abilities with
manufacturing-based, public companies will be a great asset as the scale of Clipper's operations continues to grow."
