                       CENTURION APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Centurion Electronics plc ("Centurion" or the "Company"), the UK market leader
in the field of in-car audio-visual entertainment, today announces the
appointment of Chris Rhodes, as Chief Executive, with effect from 18 October
2004.

Following the death of Steven Cunningham, Chairman and Chief Executive, in
January 2004, Brian Hendon became Executive Chairman and Amanda Thorneycroft
assumed the role of Managing Director in addition to her position as Finance
Director. Upon Chris Rhodes' appointment to the Board, Brian Hendon will
continue as Non-executive Chairman and Amanda Thorneycroft will revert to
Finance Director.

Chris Rhodes, aged 48, has a 20 year record of significant achievement within
international technology-based companies in the automotive supplier industry.

Until recently Chris was at Johnson Controls Inc. ("JCI"), the leading producer
of vehicle interior systems, where he was Vice President and General Manager of
its Ford/PAG Customer Business Unit, a #650 million multi-site division. Prior
to joining JCI, Chris spent ten years at Valeo SA, a top ten global tier one
auto industry supplier, producing alternators, electronics, wiper modules,
lighting, security and thermal systems, where he had considerable success in
growing sales and revenues and cutting operating costs.

Commenting on his appointment Brian Hendon, Chairman said: "We have taken time
to find the very best candidate to become Chief Executive; Chris has
unparalleled expertise and automotive experience with a broad range of contacts.
He is the ideal person to lead the Centurion team through its next stages of
growth."
