Re: ACQUISITION OF GROUP TIMELESS S.A.

In respect of the acquisition of Group Timeless S.A., Christie
Group plc has issued 995,000 new ordinary shares of 2p each,
and not 994,000 shares as previously stated.  These shares are
expected to be admitted to the Official List of the London
Stock Exchange on 18th April 2000.
