                               BOARD APPOINTMENT

ComputerLand UK PLC announces that it has today appointed Julie Baddeley as a
Non Executive Director.

Julie Baddeley (53) is a non-executive director of the BOC Group, Yorkshire
Building Society and the Pension Client Group within the Government's Department
of Work and Pensions. She is also an Associate Fellow at Oxford University
specialising in organisational development and leadership. Julie is a Companion
of the Institute of Management and has served as a member of the Audit
Commission.

Previously, Julie held senior executive roles in the Woolwich plc, Accenture and
Sema Consulting. Her most recent executive role was at the Woolwich where she
was a Main Board executive Director responsible for Information Technology and
Human Resources.

As well as her duties as a Non Executive Director, Julie will Chair the Board's
Remuneration Committee and become a member of the Audit Committee.
