Issue of Equity and Close of Offer 
 
The directors of Investec Structured Products Calculus VCT plc ("the Company") 
are pleased to announce an allotment today (4 May 2010) of 767,540 ordinary 
shares of 1p each ("Ordinary Shares") at GBP1 per share pursuant to the offer for 
subscription that opened on 3 March 2010 ("Offer"). 
 
Application for the Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the Official List of the 
UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market 
for listed securities will be made at the earliest practical opportunity. 
 
Following these allotments the issued share capital of the Company is 3,867,917 
Ordinary Shares. 
 
The directors further announce that the Offer has now closed. 
 
The directors are encouraged by the level of investor demand for this first 
funding round for the Company, particularly given its late launch date before 
the end of the 2009/10 tax year. The directors have decided to close the share 
offering on the planned date as both Investec and Calculus, the managers, are 
keen to press ahead with the Company's investment plans. 
 
Investec, as manager of the structured products portfolio, expects to announce 
its first investments shortly. Calculus, as manager of the VCT qualifying 
investments, is currently engaged in negotiation and/or due diligence on a 
number of potential investments and expects to announce its first qualifying 
investments in the near future. 
 
The directors are currently reviewing funding plans with the two managers and 
expect to announce further fundraising plans later this year.
