Response to the announcement of an offer

David Hickey and David Hankinson the independent directors of Claims Direct
plc (the "Company") note the announcement today of a cash offer to be made by
KPMG Corporate Finance on behalf of Barker Securities plc ("Barker Securities")
to acquire all of the issued and to be issued share capital of the Company
other than the shares already owned by the directors of Barker Securities ("
the Offer").  The Offer will be 10 pence in cash for each ordinary share of
the Company and values the Company's shares subject to the Offer at
approximately #11.1 million.



Barker Securities is a company formed by Tony Sullman and Colin Poole, the
non-executive Chairman and deputy Chairman of the Company for the purpose of
making the Offer.



The independent directors are awaiting the offer document and strongly urge
shareholders to take no action at this stage.



A further announcement will be made in due course.
