                             Director appointments



Chromogenex plc ("Chromogenex" or the "Company"), the advanced medical and
aesthetic laser device company targeting acne, wrinkles and vascular lesions, is
pleased to announce the appointments of Howard Flight and Kevin Williams as non
executive director and executive director of the Company respectively. These
appointments take place with immediate effect.

Howard Flight brings a wealth of experience in both politics and commerce having
served as a Member of Parliament and as a member of the Shadow Cabinet.
Previously, he successfully built the Guinness Flight Global Asset Management
business.  Mr Flight will be integral to the Company as it looks to increase its
profile in the investment community and in the growth of the business.

Kevin Williams has over 22 years experience in the laser industry and has served
as director of sales for Chromogenex for the past four years. He has been
responsible for building the Company's international distribution network as
well as launching its top selling product Chromolite in the past three years.

Dr Les Russell who recently resigned as managing director of the Company has now
officially left the board and will be on gardening leave for the duration of his
notice period.  Peter McGuinness, currently executive chairman, has taken over
as managing director with day to day responsibility for the running of the
Company.
