Comment on Share Price Movement and Recent Market Speculation

London (9 April 2001) - Cedar Group plc notes the recent fall in its share
price and accompanying market speculation.  The Company today confirmed that
it is in sound financial health.  The Company has adequate committed banking
facilities for its current needs and has no requirement to restructure its
balance sheet.

Cedar expects to issue a further statement by 20 April 2001 giving an update on
trading for the year ended March 2001 including information on revenue and
year end cash position.  The Company will announce full details of its results
for the year to March 2001 on 12 June 2001.
